The Watertown Unified School District offers diverse learning opportunities for students. Endeavor Charter School, now in its 11th year, is part of this initiative, providing a non-traditional educational path focused on self-paced and project-based learning. Located within Watertown High School at 825 Endeavour Dr., the school limits enrollment to 54 students annually. This environment emphasizes skills such as resiliency, self-management, and goal-setting.

Judy Mueller, the lead teacher at Endeavor Charter School, explains that while the approach differs from traditional schools, students must meet the same state and national standards as those at Watertown High School. “The difference is in how we get there,” she stated. “Students use Project Based Learning and personal agency to learn in an order that makes sense to them while incorporating their passions and interests.”

Mueller also highlights the school's commitment to holistic learning. “We are always focused on our students becoming the best versions of themselves that they can be,” she said. “This includes helping them grow in the 21st Century skills they will need to be successful adults.”

The public can learn more about Endeavor Charter School during Community Outreach Day on Friday, November 8. Interested community members should contact Mueller to arrange a tour with a student guide. She can be reached at muellerj@mywusd.org or (920) 262-7500 ext. 6880, with reservations requested by Wednesday, Nov. 6.
