Lake Geneva Middle School will hold its annual Veterans Day celebration on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. in the school gymnasium.

The program will include patriotic music performed by seventh and eighth-grade orchestras, bands, and choirs. These groups are directed by Mrs. Lauren Klement, Mrs. Amanda Krause, and Mrs. Kim May, with Mrs. Deanna Deal accompanying the choirs. One of the main features of the program will be a combined performance of “God Bless America,” during which audience members will be invited to join in a sing-along.

The Color Guard from Post 24 of The American Legion in Lake Geneva will present the colors at the ceremony. Veterans attending the event will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and share details about their service.

“We’re looking forward to honoring and celebrating our local heroes who have so bravely served our country,” said Anne Heck, school principal. “This program has been extremely rewarding to our students and the Veterans,” she said.

After the assembly, there will be a luncheon at 11:00 a.m. for community members or family members of students who are veterans, spouses of veterans, or widows of veterans. Lunch will be prepared and served by students from Mrs. Sarah Opie’s family and consumer science class.

Veterans who wish to attend the luncheon are asked to RSVP by calling 262-348-3000 before Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The middle school is located at 600 Bloomfield Road in Lake Geneva.
