Whitewater Times

The Whitewater Public Library’s Expansion & Renovation Project, which began in October 2024, is approaching completion. The library will be closed from October 27 to November 8 as staff move back into the renovated building. During the next phase, from November 10 through December 6, services such as curbside pickup, printing, and assistance by phone and email will remain available while construction is finalized. The library plans to reopen its doors on December 8.

The project increases the library’s space by 4,400 square feet. New features include an expanded early learning area for children, a dedicated teen area, a larger Makerspace, additional social seating areas, three more study rooms, larger meeting rooms with audio-visual equipment and a full kitchen, upgraded accessible facilities, and outdoor seating with extended Wi-Fi coverage.

Throughout the renovation period, the library has continued offering events and programs at off-site locations. Community members can check upcoming activities at whitewaterlibrary.org/events.
