Watertown High School names May 2025 Rotary Students

Watertown High School has announced the selection of three seniors as Watertown Rotary Club students for May 2025. Scott Butzen, Lauren Kwapil, and Evelyn Rhodes have been recognized for their academic achievements, involvement in athletics and school organizations, and contributions to the community. The students are invited to attend the Rotary Club's weekly luncheon meetings each Monday.

Scott Butzen is a dedicated member of several school programs. He participates in the WHS Music Program, Boys Swim team, and Boys Tennis team. Additionally, he is involved with the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Academic Decathlon, Model United Nations, and Mentoring. Outside of school activities, Scott is active in Boy Scouts and works at Main Street Café. He plans to study education at UW-Whitewater.

Lauren Kwapil has been an active participant in both music and sports during her high school years. She has contributed to the Marching Band, Pep Band, Girls Tennis team, and Girls Soccer team for four years. She also serves as Vice President of the National Art Honor Society and manages the Wrestling Team. Her other involvements include Tri-M Music Honor Society and National Honor Society. Lauren currently works at Mullen's Dairy Bar and intends to pursue Rehabilitation Science for Physical Therapy at UW-Eau Claire.

Evelyn Rhodes has participated in various sports teams such as Girls Volleyball and Girls Softball throughout her high school career. She has also engaged with Girls Basketball, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, INTERACT club, and Athletic Leadership initiatives. Evelyn aims to study Physical Therapy at Bryant & Stratton College while continuing her softball career.

These students' accomplishments reflect their commitment to both academics and extracurricular activities.
