Delavan-Darien High School linebacker Brody Nichols has been chosen to play in the 2025 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) All-Star Game. Nichols will join the South Large All-Star team for the event scheduled on July 19, 2025, at Titan Stadium, UW-Oshkosh.
Nichols earned this opportunity following a successful senior season. Reflecting on his selection, Nichols stated, "This is a dream come true. I’ve worked hard for this opportunity, and I couldn’t have done it without my coaches, teammates, and family. My last football season as a senior was an amazing journey, and I’m so grateful for everything that led me to this moment. I’m excited to compete at the next level and represent Delavan-Darien #CometNation."
Kyle Polzin, Athletics and Activities Director at Delavan-Darien High School, expressed his excitement over Nichols’ achievement: “Brody has been an incredible leader on and off the field. His dedication, work ethic, and passion for the game have set him apart, and this opportunity is well deserved. We are so proud of all of his accomplishments and are so excited for him and this exciting opportunity this summer.”
Mark Kibler, Comets Varsity Head Football Coach praised Nichols' efforts during his high school career: “Brody has been a cornerstone of our defense and an incredible leader for our team,” Kibler said. “His drive to improve every day, his willingness to put in the extra work, and his ability to motivate those around him have made him the player he is today. This All-Star selection is a well-earned recognition of his hard work, and I couldn’t be prouder of him.”
Before participating in the game, Nichols will attend team practices from July 14-18 in Whitewater with other top high school players from across Wisconsin. The WFCA All-Star Game highlights premier high school talent while supporting fundraising efforts for the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
