Enrollment for the four-year-old kindergarten (4K) program in the Elkhorn Area School District is now open for the 2025-26 academic year. Children who will turn four years old on or before September 1, 2025, are eligible to apply.

The district collaborates with three local daycares and preschools to provide this program to the community. Additionally, Options Virtual Charter School offers a 4K program. The curriculum focuses on play-based learning aimed at developing social, emotional, and early academic skills. The 4K program operates as a half-day session five days a week.

To begin enrollment, interested parties should visit the district's 4K Program website. Families residing outside of the Elkhorn Area School District need to submit an Open Enrollment application along with the EASD 4K New Student Enrollment application.
