MBU Assistant Professor Aria Saunders shares insights into her career path and personal motivations in a recent podcast episode. Saunders, who holds a master's degree in science and biomedical engineering with a focus on assistive technologies, previously worked as a research coordinator in a lab dedicated to developing medical equipment for people with disabilities. Her research has primarily centered on type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease she manages using technology. "I think," she states, "some of the best scientific discoveries are from people who have personal vested interests in finding better solutions."

During the podcast, Saunders and host Dr. Davis discuss their experiences on secular campuses. They express surprise at the tolerance shown by unbelieving classmates and their curiosity about Bible-believers. The conversation also touches on feelings of isolation stemming from faith that contradicts campus philosophy and lifestyle.

Saunders recites her life's mission: “Let your light so shine before men, that others may see your good works and glorify your Father which is heaven.” This goal aligns with her work in helping others through medical assistance and her role as an instructor equipping students to do the same.

Aria Saunders joined the MBU faculty in the fall of 2024 within the Department of Applied Science.
