The Watertown Unified School District (WUSD) Art Department, in collaboration with the Watertown Arts Council, is organizing an art installation featuring life-size geese. This initiative invites students and community members to paint and decorate these geese for display around Watertown.

To launch this project, Melissa Lampe, the Communication Specialist, delivered a presentation explaining why Watertown High School's mascot is the Gosling. She also shared various interesting facts about the history of Watertown. Lampe presented this talk at Watertown High School on Friday, October 18, and repeated it at the Watertown Public Library on Monday, October 21. The presentation was recorded for distribution among all art class students within the district.

The decorated geese will be officially revealed during a reception at Watertown High School on Tuesday, November 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is open to the public. For further details, interested parties can contact Dave Pawl, a WHS art teacher, via email at pawld@mywusd.org.
