Dr. Thomas Graham has been appointed Vice-President for Academic Affairs at Maranatha, succeeding Dr. William Licht.

Graham graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a BA in Bible/Missions; Bible Exposition, Education. He received a Master of Religious Education (MRE) from Temple Baptist Seminary and a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Involved in education since 1996, Graham brings extensive experience as a teacher and administrator to his new role. He began teaching for Maranatha Online in 2021. Dr. Graham and his wife, Cherie, transitioned to Watertown in 2022, where he assumed the role of Dean of the School of Education and Cherie joined the Executive Office as Executive Assistant.

Dr. Matt Davis commented, “Over the last forty years, the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs at Maranatha has been filled by two titans of Christian education: Dr. John Brock for thirty years and Dr. Will Licht for the last ten. These men built, refined, and marshaled the commitment to academic excellence and fidelity to God’s Word that characterizes Maranatha’s educational offerings. With my highest recommendation, the board of trustees affirmed Dr. Tom Graham with our full confidence that God has uniquely prepared him to fill these very big shoes. His track record of faithful ministry in the local church, his careful study of the Word, and his commitment to excellence in Christian education make him the perfect man to lead Maranatha’s faculty. Every student will benefit from his leadership in the extraordinary value they receive for their degree. I look forward to serving together even more closely in the days ahead as we work to advance the Lord’s work at MBU.”
