The Delavan-Darien School District (DDSD) has announced the appointment of Evan Hibbs as the new Dean of Students for Delavan-Darien High School (DDHS) for the 2024-2025 school year. Hibbs, who joined DDSD in 2019, began his career as an adaptive physical education teacher at Phoenix Middle School and Turtle Creek Elementary.

Recently, Hibbs has been teaching physical education to students in grades 4K-2 at Turtle Creek Elementary School. He has also shown leadership as the head of the Family & Community Engagement Team and as the elementary representative on the district’s Tier 2 team. Additionally, he has taught summer school for four years.

Beyond his teaching duties, Hibbs serves as the head JV1 Comets boys’ basketball coach and assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in educational administration at Concordia University Wisconsin and is expected to graduate in December 2024. Upon graduation, he will hold a Wisconsin principal license and a Wisconsin director of instruction license with an emphasis on athletic administration.

Jim Karedes, Principal at DDHS, expressed support for Hibbs's new role: "We are excited to welcome Evan to the administrative team. We are fully supportive of helping him achieve his aspirations to further hone his leadership skills within DDSD. Evan's dedication to our students will be a tremendous asset to our school community. We look forward to the positive impact he will bring to our high school."

DDSD believes that Hibbs's experience and commitment will significantly contribute to DDHS's success and growth.
