De-Stress at Your Desk: 15-Minute Desk Yoga 3 Week Series (Virtual Course)

Overview: Release tension in the body and calm a distracted mind in just 15 minutes. Take a quick, virtual break over your lunch hour to shift your mindset, energize your body, and return to work feeling relaxed and refreshed. Join us for some mindful breathing and gentle stretching you can do right at your desk - or in your living room - all that's needed is a chair and any surface - table, countertop or desk. This 15-minute "mini" yoga series will be done both seated and standing and is appropriate for all, no experience necessary.

Instructor: Jennifer Dean, Certified Yoga Instructor, Integrative Health Coach

Items to note: Have a small space clear for movements: all that's needed is a chair and any surface - table, countertop or desk. Position your webcam or smart device in such a way to have screen visible to watch and listen to instructor.

Class will be taught live via Microsoft Teams and will not be recorded. Prior to class you will receive a confirmation email with Microsoft Teams Meeting information. Technical support is available by phone (M, T, W, F from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm, call (414)647-3092 .

(and its employees, representatives and agents) ("Aurora") and agree not to sue Aurora for any injuries, damages or expenses that arise out of my participation in these activities.

The following Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire has been designed to identify those who should not participate in any physical activity before talking to their doctor to determine if they need further testing for them to participate safely. Attendance at class is your consent to this liability release.  IF you have any concerns not mentioned in this questionnaire please contact us prior to class at integrativemedicine@aah.org

1. Has your doctor ever said you have heart trouble? Yes/No

2. Do you ever have pains in your heart and/or chest? Yes/No

3. Do you ever feel faint and/or have spells of severe dizziness? Yes/No

4. Has a doctor ever said your blood pressure is too high or too low? Yes/No

5. Has your doctor ever told you that you have a bone or joint problem, such as arthritis, that has been aggravated by exercise, or might be made worse with exercise? Yes/No

6. Is there a medical or physical reason not mentioned above that would prevent you from safely participating in an activity program? Yes/No

7. Are you over age 65 and not accustomed to vigorous exercise? Yes/No

If you answered "yes" to one or more questions, you must consult your doctor before participating in an exercise program. If you have any concerns not mentioned, please let me know now, and if any arise in the course of the program, please raise the concern with the instructor immediately.
