Justin Crandall, Athletic Director | Watertown Unified School District
Justin Crandall has been appointed as the new athletic director at Watertown High School. Crandall, who grew up in Fort Atkinson and has family ties to the Watertown area, expressed enthusiasm about joining the local community. He holds a bachelor’s degree from UW–Stevens Point and a master’s degree from Concordia University.
Crandall began his career in 2012 as a physical education and health teacher and head football coach at Port Edwards. He transitioned to an athletic director role in 2013, accumulating 13 years of experience in this capacity. During his tenure at Port Edwards, he also served as head baseball coach and established the school’s golf program. In 2019, Crandall moved to Whitewater, where he continued working as an athletic director before accepting his current position in Watertown.
Outside of work, Crandall is active with his family, including two daughters, Chloe and Mya, and their chocolate lab, Jax. He enjoys golfing and supports Wisconsin sports teams such as the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. Next year, he plans to coach his daughter Chloe’s travel softball team.
“I’m thrilled to join the Watertown District and look forward to getting to know our students, families, and community members in the months ahead,” said Crandall.
