On Wednesday, March 12, former East Troy High School standout Bella Atkinson’s current college team, the Illinois State Redbirds, lost 3-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The game took place at Eichelberger Field. This was their first matchup against the Fighting Illini this season.

The Redbirds’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 1 p.m. at Charlotte West Stadium against Southern Illinois Salukis.
