The 56th Baccalaureate service at Maranatha Baptist University commenced with a procession of graduate candidates entering the auditorium to the tune of "Our Great Savior," played by faculty member Peter Wright. The hymn's lyrics emphasize Jesus as a constant companion and support in times of need.

Graduating music major Charis Dwire performed Ron Hamilton’s “Here Am I Lord, Send Me” on violin before Dr. Douglas Jackson delivered the Baccalaureate sermon based on Philippians 4:13—“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Dr. Jackson outlined three reasons Paul could proclaim this despite being imprisoned:
1. His position in Christ.
2. The power of Christ.
3. The prize awaiting him.
He urged graduates to embrace the phrase "I can" through divine strength.
The service concluded with a recessional led by Dr. Bachorik to Chris Anderson’s song “For the Sake of His Name,” encouraging graduates to preach Christ with conviction.
Chancellor Dr. Martin Marriott closed with a benediction asking for God's guidance over Maranatha's graduates as they embark on new paths.
