The Phoenix Southern Lakes Anthology 2025 has announced its winners, celebrating student creativity within the Delavan-Darien School District (DDSD). This year's theme, "The Power of...", inspired submissions from students in Grades 3-8. A total of 65 entries were submitted, and 24 pieces have been chosen to represent the district in the regional competition.

Among the selected works are contributions from fifth graders such as Olivia with her poem “Words Are Strong” and Carson’s “Books are a real deal!” The sixth grade highlights include Oakley’s illustrated writing piece titled “Kindness” and Natalie’s poem “Say Cheese.” Seventh-grade winners include Kenzie for her cartoon “Words Hurt” and Blake's art piece “Control Your Own Strings.”

Eighth-grade students Alyx and Dylan collaborated on an illustrated writing piece called “Focus,” while Ximena's cartoon "Helping Is The Key" also received recognition. Other notable mentions include Celeste's poem “The Effects of High Expectations on a Child” and Charlotte's poem "Glimpse of a Dream."

DDSD expressed pride in their students’ creativity, looking forward to seeing them participate in the upcoming regional competition.
