Season 9 of the On Mission podcast has begun, featuring Pastor Ron Perry from Faith Baptist Church in Folsom, California. Pastor Perry was the main speaker for Maranatha's annual fall week of opening meetings, delivering sermons for both chapel and evening services.
In the first episode of this new season, Pastor Perry shared insights from his roles as a pastor, police chaplain, husband, and father. He discussed his family's involvement in church ministry and his unique approach to relational shepherding. This leadership style was evident during the semester's first week through interactions with students over coffee, meals, and small group discussions.
On the podcast, Pastor Perry explained his "seasonal" approach to living on mission. He emphasized the importance of saying "Yes" to God's will without knowing all details beforehand. This represents surrendering to God's character—His goodness, love, and sovereignty—and trusting Him more deeply over time.
The ninth season of On Mission aims to present more stories and discussions with individuals committed to serving faithfully within and beyond the MBU community.
