Delavan-Darien High School students showcased their musical talents at the Wisconsin School Music Association STATE Solo & Ensemble Festival, held at UW-Whitewater on April 27, 2024. Band director Mr. Nick Stark, Choir director Mr. Jacob Krueger, and Orchestra teacher Mrs. Jennifer Bayerl expressed pride in their students' achievements at the event.

According to Mr. Stark, "When DDHS students perform at the State Festival, students, families, teachers, administrators, and college faculty from all around the state who are in attendance know that great things are happening in Delavan-Darien Schools."

Several students from Delavan-Darien High School received top scores at the festival. Among them, Brian Aguilar, Kora Hertz, Mackenzie Karbash, Camden Lockhart, and Audrey Mathes all earned a score of “1” for their outstanding performances. The Jazz Ensemble and String Choir also received accolades for their exceptional musical prowess.

In addition to these top performers, students like Vivienne Frienz, Kora Hertz, and Kristina Stearns received a score of “2” for their impressive solo performances.

The achievements of these talented musicians reflect the dedication and hard work put in by both the students and their instructors. The Delavan-Darien High School community congratulates all the participants for their success at the prestigious event.
