Enrollment at Linn J6 School District decreased by 2% compared to previous school year

There were 148 students enrolled in Linn J6 School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.4% of them were girls, and 46.6% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 86.5% of the Linn J6 School District total enrollment.

Linn J6 School District covers one school within Walworth County, with its main office in Lake Geneva.

Among the one school in the Linn J6 School District, Reek Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 148 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 14 students in a Wisconsin classroom, compared to the national average of 1:16. AAA State of Play considered Wisconsin to have the 14th best teacher to student ratio in the U.S.
