City of Lake Mills recently issued the following announcement.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to every person who owns, occupies or controls property in the City of Lake Mills, Jefferson County, State of Wisconsin, to clear the snow and ice from the entire width of the sidewalk within twenty-four (24) hours after the cessation of any storm deposit. Also, when ice has formed upon any such sidewalk through melting and refreezing or any other reason, such sidewalk shall be kept in a way to prevent the sidewalk from being slippery or creating a hazard. Section 573-23 of the Lake Mills Municipal Code.
Failure to comply with this Notice may result in the work being done by the municipality, the expense of which shall be added to the tax roll.
