The Walworth County Aging Network will host its annual Senior Resource Fair on Thursday, October 2, 2025. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Walworth County Health & Human Services building, located at 1910 County Rd NN in Elkhorn.

Organizers say the open house is aimed at older adults as well as their families and friends who want to learn more about local resources, services, and activities available in the community. Attendees can visit information booths set up by healthcare providers, home care agencies, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, and other community organizations.

Free health screenings will be offered by Advocate Aurora. There will also be memory, hearing, and fall risk screenings for those interested. Light refreshments and door prizes are planned for visitors.

“Drop in anytime during the event to gather information, ask questions, and connect with local organizations dedicated to supporting older adults,” organizers said.

The event is open to older adults seeking support or resources, family members or caregivers of seniors, as well as anyone interested in learning more about services for older adults.

Walworth County schools serve a diverse student body. In the 2023-24 school year there were over 14,500 students enrolled across the county’s schools. Badger High School had the highest enrollment with 1,275 students; Elkhorn Area High School followed with 941 students; Elkhorn Area Middle School enrolled 676 students (https://dpi.wi.gov/). White students made up just over 70% of the total student population during this period (https://dpi.wi.gov/), while Hispanic students accounted for nearly one-quarter of all enrollments (https://dpi.wi.gov/). Multiracial students represented almost three percent of all county school attendees (https://dpi.wi.gov/).
