Darien Elementary School recently celebrated the achievements of its students in the Southern Lakes Anthology competition. Several 4th-grade students were recognized for their creativity and hard work.
The winners from Darien Elementary included Roselynn Halvorson for her cartoon "Music!", Helda Hernandez Daisy for "Gummy Bear Kindness" in the cartoon category, and Nicholas Ertl & Micah Ramirez with their illustrated writing piece titled "World of Ideas". Eleanor Akin received recognition for her expository writing piece, "The Effect Of Hitler’s Words", while Monserrath Rodriguez Ornelas was awarded for her cartoon "Good Friendship". Melanie Luque's cartoon "Marshmallow Friendship" also earned a spot among the winners. Additionally, Quinn Perepell & Joslyn Garbe were acknowledged for their illustrated writing titled "SuperHeroes".
Each winner was awarded a certificate of achievement and a free pizza coupon courtesy of JoJo's Pizza. The school expressed gratitude to JoJo's Pizza for supporting young authors and artists.
"We’re thrilled to recognize these talented 4th-grade students for their outstanding creativity and hard work," stated the school in acknowledgment of the winners' efforts.
