Fort HealthCare has been recognized with a 2024 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in Outcomes by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. This announcement coincides with National Rural Health Day, highlighting the achievements of rural hospitals across the nation.

Michael Anderson, MD, President & CEO of Fort HealthCare, expressed his pride in receiving the award. "We’re honored to receive this award for excellence in outcomes," he stated. The awards are determined through the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX, which provides an objective framework for evaluating rural hospital performance. The INDEX is used by various stakeholders including rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations, and state offices of rural health to assess performance across areas impacting operations and finance.
