A special state send-off for tennis and track team members is scheduled for Thursday, May 30 at 8:30 AM. The athletes will be escorted by police from DDHS to Phoenix Middle School before departing town. Community members are encouraged to line up along Cummings Street and Beloit Street to show their support.
The athletes heading to the state competition include Addy Stallings, Delaney Stallings, Sophia Szczap, Alaina Sorg, Yash Patel, Ken Shackett, Jaden Volkert, and Luis Medina.
"Let’s show our support and cheer them on as they head to State!" organizers stated. "Let’s make some noise and give them the best send-off ever!"
