Calling all aspiring artists! Join Kettle Moraine Land Trust (KMLT) for a kid-focused drawing lesson led by a professional botanic artist at Art in the Prairie on Saturday, July 16, at Price Park Conservancy.
Participants will take part in colored pencil drawing lessons led by professional artist Kathleen Garness. Ms. Garness is a professional botanic and scientific illustrator who works with the Field Museum and The Nature Conservancy to produce educational materials for the growing community of natural areas restoration volunteers. She has taught for the Chicago Botanic Garden and the Morton Arboretum, and has received a grant from the American Society of Botanical Artists which allowed her to introduce botanical illustration to new and more diverse audiences.
