Ambassador Feature: Sherry Stelse

Ambas

Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb 15.

What do you do professionally, and what do you love most about your career?

I wear many different hats in my professional career. I work for Mike Foerster. He owns many businesses, and I am his Director of Operations and oversee/manage them. This includes having my real estate license also. Each day can be unique. Sometimes that is a good thing and other days that means it is a long day. That is what I like most. I love my job and that is a wonderful thing to be able to still say after 20ish years.

What is your history with the Fort Chamber?

I started volunteering at Chamber events approximately 23 years ago. I wanted to be involved in the community and felt helping the Chamber was a good way to do this. I became a Chamber Ambassador approximately 18ish years ago and am Ambassador President this year.

What is a fun fact that people might not know about you?

A fun fact that most people do not know about me is I am a closet singer/dancer. I love to sing and dance around. When a song I like comes on, I start to sing and dance like I am on stage.  Problem being I am terrible. Ask the people who have walked in on me when I did not know it. LOL!

As the chamber’s newly inducted Ambassador President, what are your goals for the group in 2022?

As Ambassador President this year, I would like to get the Ambassadors out in the community more and conversing with our members and finding out what we can do to better relationships. I would also like to get more of the community involved in the Chamber. With all of us working together, Fort Atkinson just becomes an even better city to live in and raise our families.
