City of Whitewater recently issued the following announcement.
On December 7, 2021, Whitewater Police Department had the honor to participate in our annual Shop with a Cop program. Officer Michele Martin, Detective Jake Hintz, Lieutenant Shane Brandl, Captain Adam Vander Steeg and Records Specialists Angela Sahr & Mary Hennessy shopped with students Hector from Washington, Charli from Lakeview and Abbygail from Lincoln at Walmart for their families this Christmas.
WPD donated $50, Pepsi donated $50 and Walmart donated $100 for each child. Walmart additionally donated a cart full of $150 worth of groceries for each child and their family! Thank you to all those who donated and participated. What an amazing night with some very special children. Our community is truly blessed.
