The Humane Society of Jefferson County will host its Furry Friends Kids Camp Monday, August 16 through Friday, August 20.  This week long day camp will provide a fun-filled experience for children as they learn about kindness and compassion for the animals who share our world.  Campers will also learn how shelters, like the Humane Society of Jefferson County, help animals in need.

Kids camp will run each day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Registration is limited and open to children ages 5 to 12.  A lunch can be provided for an additional $5 per day, or you may choose to send a bag lunch daily with your camper.

Campers will have hands on opportunities with animal interactions, games, crafts and activities, including a behind the scenes shelter tour and interacting with animals such as dogs, cats, small animals and our ambassador rats.  Campers will also learn from outside presenters that include dog carting, reptile enthusiast, authors and more.

Registration and liability release forms are available online at https://hsjc-wis.com/event/2021-kids-camp/.  Participants may also register at the Humane Society of Jefferson County, located at W6127 Kiesling Road between Fort Atkinson and Jefferson.  The cost is $165.00 per student with an additional $2.50 service fee for on-line registrations.  All materials, 2 snacks per day, and a Kids Camp t-shirt are included.  Registrations and payment are due to reserve your camper’s spot.
