City of Fort Atkinson issued the following announcement on September 23.
Water hydrant flushing will be conducted on the listed dates for the north and south sides of the City. All areas of the City may be affected during this time. You may notice your water pressure varying potential sediment causing water discoloration. Residents are urged to observe clarity of their water prior to use. If discoloration occurs, run cold tap water until it clears. Flushing is done as part of routine maintenance and to maintain the integrity of the water system. Please drive carefully around the crews performing maintenance.
South Side Industrial Area
Friday, October 2nd. Hydrant flushing will be conducted on the south side of the City in the Industrial area. Flushing will be conducted on Janesville Avenue area, south of Sixth Street and west of Grove Street.
South Side of Rock River
Monday, October 5th - Thursday, October 8th beginning at 5:00am.
North Side of Rock River
Friday, October 9th - Friday, October 16th beginning at 5:00am.
Directional Hydrant Flushing: South Side of Rock River
Friday, October 16th - Monday, October 19th beginning at 7:00am.
