The Village of Darien announced on March 19 that trash collection will be postponed by one day due to inclement weather earlier in the week. The new collection date is set for Saturday, March 21.

The delay affects all residents who normally have their garbage collected earlier in the week. The change was made after weather conditions prevented regular service from taking place as scheduled.

In a statement, the Village said, “Due to the inclement weather this past Monday, garbage service routes will be delayed by one day. The Village of Darien will have Trash Collection on Sat. March 21st. Please tell your neighbors!!!”

Residents are encouraged to share this information with their neighbors to ensure everyone is aware of the updated schedule.

The Village has not indicated whether further delays are expected but urges residents to monitor local updates for any additional changes.
