The UCCS Mountain Lions, featuring former Jefferson High School standout Ayianna Johnson, were defeated by the Texas Woman’s Pioneers 70-59 on Saturday, March 14, in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The tournament matchup, held at Kitty Magee Arena at 6:30 p.m., marked the Mountain Lions’ first meeting with the Texas Woman’s Pioneers for this event.
