Teresa Ortega Bernal has emerged victorious in the WIABE Middle School Art Contest, with her artwork being selected as the best among all entries across the State. The theme of this year’s contest, “United Through Language and Culture, Unidos A Través del Lenguaje Y La Cultura,” resonated in Teresa’s drawing, earning her this prestigious recognition.

In response to Teresa’s achievement, it was announced that her art piece will be showcased at the Walker’s Point Center for the Arts in Milwaukee. Furthermore, her work will be prominently displayed at the upcoming Walker’s Point Art Festival in Milwaukee this summer.

The organizers expressed their excitement by stating, “We are excited to share that one of our 6th-grade students, Teresa Ortega Bernal won the Wisconsin Association for Bilingual Education (WIABE) Middle School Art Contest! Teresa’s drawing was chosen from all of the Middle School entries across the State!”
