Lake Geneva Schools has announced the appointment of Sean Strauss as the new Director of Buildings and Grounds, effective July 1, 2025. Strauss brings over ten years of experience in school facility operations and safety management to his new role.

Since 2022, Strauss has been serving as the Director of Buildings and Grounds and Safety Coordinator for the Shorewood School District. His duties included managing district-wide safety compliance, facilities systems, and coordinating with recreation programming and contractors. Before his tenure at Shorewood, he held positions such as Custodial Operations Supervisor in Pewaukee, Lead Custodian at Whitnall High School, and Grounds Engineer for Racine Unified School District. He holds certifications from the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) and the Wisconsin School Safety Coordinators Association (WSSCA).

“We are excited to welcome Sean to Lake Geneva Schools,” said George Chironis, Director of Business Services. “His depth of experience and clear commitment to safe, well-maintained learning environments make him a strong fit for our district. We look forward to the leadership and innovation he’ll bring to our operations.”

Strauss will oversee the district’s buildings and grounds department to ensure that school facilities remain safe, efficient, and supportive of educational goals. He takes over from Scott Reiff, who is retiring after many years with Lake Geneva Schools. The district expressed gratitude towards Reiff for his dedication and contributions to maintaining high-quality learning environments.
