The Elkhorn Area School District (EASD) has been awarded a $33,556 Technical Education Equipment grant. Governor Tony Evers, in collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), announced that grants from the Wisconsin Fast Forward Program will benefit 4,637 students across 17 school districts by providing advanced manufacturing training to prepare them for high-demand job opportunities.
EASD plans to utilize the grant funds to acquire a Haas Mini Mill CNC vertical machining center equipped with a 4th-axis drive, a servo rotary table, and a classroom simulator. This equipment will be used for advanced manufacturing industry training and certifications, addressing the skills demand of the local manufacturing workforce.
