Whitewater Times

Alexis Lee, a 7th-grade student, has been named the 1st place essay winner for the WIABE Essay Contest, organized by the Wisconsin Association for Bilingual Education. Lee's essay, written in Spanish, stood out amongst several submissions from across the state under the theme "United Through Language and Culture, Unidos a Través Del Lenguaje Y La Cultura."

Lee will be honored at the WIABE Conference Luncheon on April 20th, where she will have the opportunity to read her essay in both Spanish and English. The school expressed their pride and joy in Lee's achievement, stating, "Congratulations Alexis, we are so proud of you! ¡Felicidades!"
