There were 2,508 students enrolled in Fort Atkinson School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.8% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52% of them were boys, and 47.7% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 78.9% of the Fort Atkinson School District total enrollment.

Fort Atkinson School District covers seven schools within Jefferson County, with its main office in Fort Atkinson.

Among the seven schools in the Fort Atkinson School District, Fort Atkinson High School recorded the highest enrollment of 960 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.
