Fort HealthCare has announced that it will offer more than $30,000 in scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year to students pursuing careers in healthcare. The scholarships are available through Fort HealthCare Partners, the Fort HealthCare Medical Staff, and the Fort Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Applications can be submitted online at www.FortHealthCare.com/scholarships starting December 5, 2025, with a deadline of March 1, 2026. By submitting one application, students can be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible based on their degree program.

Eligibility requirements specify that applicants must either live in or have graduated from high schools in Cambridge, Fort Atkinson, Helenville, Jefferson, Johnson Creek, Lake Mills, Palmyra, Sullivan, or Whitewater. Employees of Fort HealthCare are also eligible. While grade point average is taken into account during selection, community involvement and volunteer work are also considered important factors.

The Fort HealthCare Partners Scholarships include opportunities for individuals advancing their education within healthcare fields as well as high school seniors planning to enter the field. The Woody Finn Memorial Scholarship honors a long-time hospital volunteer and supports students who regularly serve in volunteer roles while pursuing healthcare careers.

“Health Careers Advancing Education Scholarships are awarded to candidates who currently hold a degree or certification in a healthcare field and are now enrolled in a course of study that leads to an advanced degree in a healthcare field.”

“Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school students pursuing a career in the healthcare field.”

“In memory of Woody Finn, a long-time dedicated volunteer of Fort Memorial Hospital, a scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a career in health care who serves regularly in a volunteer role.”
