James Nelson, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Fort HealthCare, has been named to the 2026 Wisconsin Titan 100 Hall of Fame. This recognition is part of a program that honors the top 100 CEOs and C-level executives in Wisconsin for their leadership and industry impact. The honorees this year represent organizations with more than 64,000 employees and over $14 billion in annual revenue.
Nelson joined Fort HealthCare in 1998. During his tenure, he has overseen significant financial growth, with net revenues increasing from $49 million to $140 million. His efforts have contributed to Fort HealthCare being recognized as a Top Place to Work by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and as a Top Rural and Community Hospital.
Members of the Fort HealthCare leadership team stated, “Jim has been instrumental in shaping Fort HealthCare’s strategic direction and ensuring our continued financial strength. His dedication to our mission—to improve the health and well-being of our communities—has been an anchor of stability and progress for more than two decades.”
When asked about advice for his younger self, Nelson said, “Always be curious. Continue to learn and grow in your skills and knowledge.”
Nelson will be honored with other recipients at the Titan 100 Awards Celebration on January 29, 2026, at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
