On May 31, DDHS hosted its annual AP Science Demo Day. Over 200 students from Turtle Creek Elementary and Darien Elementary participated in the event, which featured a variety of demonstrations by AP Science students.
The demonstrations included riding a student-built hovercraft, flinging watermelons with a trebuchet, experimenting with enzymes, and creating membrane ‘bubbles’. The event provided hands-on science experiences for all attendees.
Plans are underway to include AP Chemistry in next year’s event.
