Former Badger High School star Payton Hayes and her current team, the Carroll Pioneers, were defeated 80-60 by the UW La Crosse Eagles in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 7.
The matchup, which tipped off at 7:45 p.m. at Van Male Field House, marked the Pioneers’ first game against the UW La Crosse Eagles in tournament play.
